Meadowbrook's next chapter — the Town's park, and the museum FOMGC is working to bring to it.
In 2016 the Town of Garner purchased the 121-acre Meadowbrook site. FOMGC is pursuing a formal Partnership Agreement with the Town — which we hope to see executed in 2026 — to restore the historic clubhouse as a Museum and Event Center.
The Town of Garner is rebuilding the park. FOMGC aspires to restore the clubhouse alongside it — together, the two plans would finish what was paused in 2010.
In 2016 the Town of Garner purchased the 121-acre Meadowbrook site. The McAdams master plan restores the grounds as a public park, with final phases funded in the FY2029 capital plan.
Phase 1A (dam breach and pond drainage) completed September 2024. Design work resumed under McAdams in October 2025.
